Description

Love singing? Want to immerse yourself in wonderful surroundings and make music with a friendly and welcoming group of singers from all backgrounds? Then we would love for you to come along to Hannah Brine’s 12th Singing Retreat.

Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th October 2024, from 5pm on Wednesday until after lunch on Saturday
Glenthorne Guest House and Conference Centre, Easedale Road, Ambleside LA22 9QH

What can you expect to do whilst on retreat?
Led by Hannah Brine with guest workshop leaders Stuart Overington and Craig Lee you will learn gorgeous songs in 3 and 4 (and sometimes more!) part harmony as well as meeting fun, like-minded people and indulging in wonderful food. Music will range in style from traditional choral, to world, to folk, to pop – there will be something for everyone.

Stuart Overington is a dynamic and well loved conductor involved in lots of exciting projects around the North of England, including with the Halle Choir. Stuart will be leading a workshop during the retreat, and there are other treats in store, including singing in a cave! Here is Stuart in action:

“This is a magical event! You truly make friends in a weekend, as well as learning beautiful songs from gospel to choral to folk to pop. Hannah and Patrick are superb teachers and create an atmosphere that’s warm, inclusive and fun.” Singing retreat attendee, September 2023

“I loved it because singing breaks down so many barriers – a disparate group of individuals (some who knew each other already) arrived on Thursday, we left on Sunday with new friends, a sense of belonging, gratefulness & achievement – everyone should have the Hannah & Patrick combo on prescription!” Singing retreat attendee, September 2023

“Hannah’s singing retreats are the highlight of my singing year. To be immersed in the world of singing together with others for a long weekend is utterly joyous.” Singing retreat attendee, September 2023
