It don’t mean a thing – if it ain’t got that swing!

As a huge fan of vintage dance I have been lucky to meet some great people through the lindyhop dance scene, here in London. Over just three rehearsals we formed the London Swing Choir who gave a stunning debut performance at the Swing Patrol Christmas party at Conway Hall on Saturday December 14th. The choir also performed at St John’s Notting Hill, on Monday December 16th.

We are a project based choir, meeting a few times through out the year for intense rehearsals and excellent performances. Our next performance is on Saturday February 22nd at Swing Patrol’s Meet the Scene Ball with the London Gay Big Band. You don’t need any previous experience to take part, but you need to be prepared to learn parts from score and MP3 outside of rehearsals.

Tickets to take part in the next performance are available here . The price covers scores, MP3s, and two rehearsals on February 8th and 15th at Big Wheel Studios, Exmouth Market from 1.15-3.15pm.

Tickets for the ball must be purchased separately, though there is a £4 discount to choir singers, off the standard price which makes it £22. Codes will be sent via email after choir tickets are purchased.
